My thoughts on Cupcake Wars...

Pre Cupcake Wars - In our green room, happy as can be!

So I bet you thought we won...or at least got further than we did.  I bet you didn't think we got cut first especially after telling everyone that we were on the show and how excited I was!  I was hesitant at first to tell anyone we were on the show and then I thought "we were on cupcake wars!!!  A chance of a life time!  How many people can say they were on the Food Network living their dream!!!"  So I told the world we were going to be on Cupcake Wars.
My thoughts...really sad.  That day was one of the most depressing days of my life.  Not because I lost on Cupcake Wars because there is so much work behind the scenes that no one will ever know about but us.  I worked so hard to be on this show and I failed miserably !  What they didn't show is that Angie kept telling me to re-do the cupcake but I couldn't we didn't have enough time.  What else they didn't show you...we probably  tried 8 cupcakes and thought exactly what the judges said...bready, doughy, crumbly, just not good.  I should have made a cupcake that I knew not just make one up on the spot...what was I thinking!!!
Watching the show was very bitter sweet.  I am so grateful to be on the show but so embarrassed to be eliminated FIRST!!!
I hope those of you that have tried my cupcakes know that they aren't bready and doughy ha ha!  I hope that you that have not tried my cupcakes will come into Cravings and try one, I promise you will love them!
This has not defeated me.  I know I can make a good cupcake and I promise this will not be the last time you see me!!!
Please post a comment, I would love to hear your thoughts!  Thanks for all of your love and support!  Without you guys I couldn't do what I love!  Thank you!

Alisha, I think you did AMAZING! You did NOT fail, don't say that! It's amazing you even got on the show, so be proud of that. And obviously one dumb challenge does not make you who you are...you're cupcakes are to die for! And the reality is, someone had to be eliminated, it sucks it was you, but it had to be someone. :-( But really, you will be successful! You already are and you will continue to be! PLUS...You LOOKED so dang cute!! But you made me cry when you said your heart was broken :-( So many emotions watching that! Micah was watching so intently and he kept saying "I want to be on cupcake wars!" He's very into cooking, all he does all day is watch YouTube cooking shows and imitate them. Anyways, he thought it was very intense! He also kept saying, "ten more minutes!"..."5 more minutes!" haha He was into it. LOVE YOU!
I loved watching you and Angie you may not have won but you went out and gave it a shot when so many of us just don't even try. I have had your cupcakes many times and they are soooo yummy that is why I encouraged you to apply in the first place. You are a great baker and will move forward with your business.
Alisha, it was so fun to watch you on the show, it was sad that you didn't win, but seriously amazing that you went on and tried! You took a risk and it didn't work out, but that's all right. I love your attitude and that you aren't letting this one disappointment get in the way of your dreams! You are an inspiration to me. The first thing Allan said when the show came on was, "She's definately the cutest competitor." You looked amazing and I can't wait to come in and try your cupcakes when we come to Utah!
Alisha I am so impressed by your courage I never would have even attempted to do that! Your cupcakes are fantastic! You and Angie are both very talented! I am honored to be able to say that I had a food network star come to my home! Keep baking and we'll keep eating!

Girly, you rock. We had so much fun watching you on FOOD NETWORK! We were sad for you, and sad that you got handed a challenge that did not give you the opportunity to show the judges what you rock at...making sweet, yummy, to die for delicious cupcakes. That had to be tough, but you look so cute and you are awesome! And be proud because you tried! You made the show over tons of others, and thanks to you my waist line will never be as small as it once was. PB and Better than What, yum!
Okay this is getting long, but seriously, you guys are so talented, and it is a shame the show did not show it, but everyone who has ever tried your cupcakes knows!

I agree with everyone on here! You are a winner just for going out and trying. I have no idea how any one can make a cupcake good with those ingredients that they gave you. I would never imagine putting that stuff in a cupcake and it tasting semi good. You two are gorgeous and definitely won in that department! If only those judges had the opportunity to taste one of your "REAL" cupcakes, you would definitely be the winner. Keep them cupcakes coming because you do make amazing cupcakes!
Alisha! Daniel and I loved watching you and Angie on cupcake wars. You were so entertaining to watch! Daniel laughed at how you called Angie an idiot saying that's how you two really act. After you got eliminated we turned off the show. We thought they picked a lame first round ingredient choice. Either way what an awesome opportunity for you. Your cupcakes are amazing and like they say any publicity is good publicity :) Keep making your yummy cupcakes.
Hi Alisha, my name is Teresa, Owner/operator of Teresa's Oatmeal Overboard. I was called to audition for Season 4 and didn't make it but you did. EVERYTHING happens for a reason, it's good I didn't get selected as my Mother passed during the time I probably would have been taping. So just know, that either way you're a winner girl...you got SELECTED! Count it a blessing, like one of your post said "Any publicity is good" You were on "Food Network" for goodness sake. Who knows...they've called plenty back to give it a second whirl and you just may be one of them so....Keep the faith woman, it's certainly NOT the end of your world. God bless.

Hey... Don't be so hard on yourself. It took a lot of courage to do what you did & especially to try something totally out of your comfort zone. Keep believing in your self & keep doing what you love!! Best wishes

I was sorry to see you go! I LOVE cupcake wars, and the fact that you got chosen is victory in itself. Congrats! I do have a question about the show: In the rounds, I see that more than 1 cupcake per judge is baked- is that just in case you get to the final round, you can use those cupcakes? Thanks!

I'm excited to come to PG and try your cupcakes! It was very exciting to tune into my fav show and see local talent on...way to go! Congratulations, and try again. Maybe they won't have such weird ingredients to choose from next time!

I just saw the episode where you were on Cupcakes wars! I had to look you up, because I'm from UT, and just moved to So Cal. Anyway, don't give up!!! You and your twin sister have the best smiles! In fact, I stopped watching the rest of the episode b/c it didn't hold my interest after that haha :) When I come back to UT, I'm looking you guys up! Keep smiling!!! ~Kris

I can't imagine how you put together these cupcakes in such a short time. It takes courage to step into that kitchen. You were the happiest contestants and made us smile. Just being selected for the show means you are a winner!!

Your aprons were the cutest outfits on the show. Did you make them or where can they be purchased. They really made a good impression.

You did great! Just think how many people were competing to get on the show and you were selected.

Trying to come up with something different and getting it made in the time they give you is really tough.

Hope you can let me know where to get an apron like you wore.
