Baby Blessing Cupcakes

My friend Kylee had me make her sister cupcakes for their baby blessing.  She said her sister wanted classy cupcakes.  I instantly thought vintagie/classy.  It reminded me of the cupcakes I made for my little Allie's 1st birthday photo shoot which I have just realized I have never posted OMG!!!  That's next on the list ha ha!  Here's what I came up with!  Kylee told me they were a hit, so I'm glad they liked them because I sure did :)

Lions & Tigers & Elephants?

I made these for a friends birthday party.  They wanted Animal themed cupcakes.  I have made animal cupcakes before but never an elephant!  Loved the elephant, I don't know why I didn't incorporated it with the other ones I have done.  By far the Elephant is my favorite of the cupcakes :)

Things I learned from Pinterest!

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one out there ha ha that is absolutely in love with Pintrest !  I love love Pintrest!   I have found so many ideas, styles, food ideas, cupcake ideas, and my favorite CLEANING TIPS!!!  Here is one that I have been waiting for!  I have scrubbed and scrubbed my sink with different kinds of cleaners, scrubbies, dry erasers, you name it.  I found this on Pinterest from and decided to try it!  OMG it worked and it was so freaking EASY!!!  Seriously these things on Pintrest....why don't we think of these!  But seriously who would of thought to clean with Cream of Tarter!  Here's the steps...

Things you will need:
  • Cream of Tarter
  • Sponge
  • Paper Towels

Depending on the size of your stainless steel but for this part of the sink I had to use 2 TBS of Cream of Tarter and mix it with a few drops of water and mix together.  Place on the sponge and scrub your sink.  Wipe off with a damp paper towel and you will get this...

TADA!  And the scum is gone!!!  Yae!!!  Finally my sink looks beautiful again!!!

Thank you Pinterest!

Because of Pinterest I have been making so many new cupcakes!  This week a Glazed Doughnut Cupcake and a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cupcake.  I played with both of these and made the doughnut one into a Cinnamon Sugar Glazed Doughnut Cupcake and the PB one into a Holy Moly Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cupcake.  They will be at Quincees this week as the Cupcakes of the Day!

The Best & Easiest Alfredo and Garlic Bread

This is by far the best and easiest Alfredo sauce I have ever made!  We have been making this for years!  It's a family favorite but not the best recipe while dieting ha ha!  And the garlic bread was inspired by working at Chilis for 10 years.  They by far have the best garlic bread and I think it's because they grill it not bake it.  Here's the recipe...
For the Alfredo Sauce:
  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne (I use tony's) or black pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese

Add all the ingredients in a sauce pan...

Let it simmer for 12 Minutes or until the desired consistency is reached.  That's it!!!
*I love to add shrimp and crawfish to my alfredo!  Chicken is delicious too!  Just cook it however you like and toss it with your pasta!  Yummy!!!

For the Garlic Bread:

  • 1 Loaf of French Bread Cut into slices
  • 1 stick of butter melted
  • 1 TBS of Johnny's Garlic Spread & Seasoning (from Costco)
Mix the butter and garlic together.  Spread on both sides of bread.  On high heat toast each side of the bread on the grill.  Toast perfectly and enjoy!  I promise this is the best garlic bread ever!!!

The Ultimate No Bake Cookie

I was craving something chocolate and I really didn't want to wait long enough for anything to bake so I decided to make some no bake cookies, BUT I really wanted something rich and full of chocolate so I decided to add lots of chocolate chips to my no bakes and let me tell you they were RICH and DELICIOUS!!!   The chocolate chips were a excellent add in!!!

Here's my Recipe for the Ultimate No Bake Cookies

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 TBS Cocoa
  • 4 TBS Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Cups Oatmeal
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
Directions: In a saucepan bring to a boil the sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk.  Let boil for 1 minute and then add the peanut butter, vanilla, and oatmeal.  Mix well and fold in the chocolate chips.  On wax paper drop by the teaspoonfuls, until cooled...if you can wait that long :)
